Educational Programs

Ebenezer Child Care Centers offer a safe, clean, and nurturing atmosphere for children of all ages. Our warm, caring, and patient staff provides a high quality program with developmentally-appropriate learning experiences based on age and individual progress. Your child's physical, emotional, social, and cognitive growth guides our curriculum and routines. In all of our programs, multicultural and nonsexist materials and activities are provided to enhance children's self-esteem and to enrich the lives of all children with respectful acceptance and appreciation of similarities and differences.

Continual evaluation of children using portfolio assessments assists teachers in planning developmentally-appropriate activities and experiences. Because our programs are developmental, we believe that children's interests and skills must guide our curriculum planning. Planning efforts respond to the direction of a child's learning. We believe the process of learning is more important than the content of learning. Because we focus on process learning, activities are designed to emphasize the experiences children are having rather than what results from activities. In other words, the creative process in painting is more important than what is painted, and building with blocks is more important than what is built. Helping children learn how to learn is what our programs are about.
