Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM) are buzz words you hear throughout today’s society, from schools to policy makers. This session will encourage participants to view STEM from a new perspective-that of a young child. We will inform and excite you as to why STEM must be intentionally woven throughout the day in any developmentally appropriate early learning environment. You will see how to include active, arts-based experiences in your Pre-K and Kindergarten classrooms to encourage math learning. Finally, this session will give you resources to help educate parents and the community about the value of STEM in early care and education….this is where it all begins!
