May’s Virtues of the Month: Respect and Responsibility

May 11, 2020

Ebenezer’s Virtues of the Month Program is about empowering adults and children to live by their highest values. There are 52 virtues in the program. The mission of the Virtues Program is to provide empowering strategies of excellence that inspire the practice of virtues at Ebenezer Child Care Centers as well as at home. This month’s virtues are:

Respect is shown by  speaking and acting with courtesy. We treat others with dignity and honor the rules of our family, school and nation. Respect yourself, and others will respect you.

Responsibility—being responsible means other can trust you to do things with excellence. You accept
accountability for your actions. When you make a mistake, you offer amends instead of excuses. Responsibility is the ability to respond ably and to make smart choices.
