November’s Virtues of the Month: Honesty and Honor

Nov 9, 2020

Ebenezer’s Virtues of the Month Program is about empowering adults and children to live to their highest values. There are 52 virtues in the program. Its mission is to provide empowering strategies of excellence that inspire the practice of virtues at Ebenezer Child Care Centers as well as at home. This month’s virtues are:

Honesty is being truthful and sincere. It is important because it builds trust. When people are honest, they can be relied on not to lie, cheat or steal. Being
honest means you are accept yourself as you are. When you are open and trustworthy, others can believe in you.

Honor is living by the virtues, showing great respect for yourself, other people, and the rules you live by. When you are honorable, you keep your word. You do the right thing regardless of what others are doing. Honor is a path of integrity.
