At Ebenezer Child Care Centers, we incorporate a unique, virtue- and character-building curriculum into our daily lesson plans and interactions with our children. Our “Virtues from the Heart” program provides our teachers countless opportunities to further enrich the lives of the children in our care and provide them with the basic structure and understanding of how to be more virtuous.
This month’s virtues are Thankfulness and Tolerance.
Thankfulness is being grateful for what we have. It is an attitude of gratitude for learning, loving, and being. Appreciate the little things that happen around you and within you every day. Think positively. Thankfulness brings contentment.
Tolerance is being able to accept differences. You don’t expect others to think, look, speak, or act just like you. You are free of prejudice, knowing that all people have feelings, needs, hopes, and dreams. Tolerance is also accepting things you wish were different with patience and flexibility.
