Millions of people shop on Amazon.com, but not a lot of people know about its charitable program – AmazonSmiles.

AmazonSmiles allows consumers to support their favorite charity every time they make a purchase – at no extra cost. Launched in 2013, AmazonSmiles awards designated charities with a percentage of each eligible purchase.

When Amazon customers shop on smile.amazon.com, Amazon will donate 0.5 percent of the purchase price to the selected charity. Customers pick their charity through the new website from nearly one million qualified nonprofits, including Ebenezer Child Care Centers.

There is no cap on the amount Amazon will donate, and almost every physical product sold by the company is eligible. Everything else about the Amazon online shopping experience stays the same, including the shopping cart, wish lists, and shipping options. The prices are also the same. There is no additional cost to participate in the charitable program.

The key is you must purchase through smile.amazon.com NOT the standard amazon.com site. It’s simple to sign up, and the website will remember your selected charity for future purchases. Just sign in with your normal Amazon login and when prompted, insert Ebenezer Child Care Centers to have donations earmarked to support Ebenezer.
